An antique Cuban cigar humidor possessing a lovely golden patina and in very good condition. Once used for storage and dispensing of cigars in a retail establishment. The cabinet has the original lock and a working key along with brass sliding catches on the other door. It has a stepped construction with overhanging cornice and protruding base. The dimensions are approximately 2ft high (61 cm), 18 1/4 wide (46 cm) and 9 3/4 deep (25 cm). There are three shelves, two of which look to be later replacements in mahogany. The interior is lined with paper the top of which displays a geometric motif. Overall the condition is excellent with sound woodwork and only superficial wear commensurate with the age of this item. There is one crack in the original panelled back which you find frequently with this type of humidor and is likely due to shrinkage. There is evidence the cabinet was once wall hung with signs of where brackets were attached. As stated earlier two of the shelves have been replaced at some point.
