DUNHILL Humidor, Perfect with humidity/temperature gauges & key, Cigar Box

A Superb mid-size Dunhill Humidor, complete with Dunhill Humidity and Temperature system, original key and. Dunhill Cigar cutter included. In excellent condition, some light marks inside, remaining sides have a french high lacquered, polished finish, in perfect condition. One bottom corner very slightly, almost imperceptibly indented. Red felt base, with minor signs of use. This box is almost like new, with only the very slightest signs of use. External size approx: 23.5 cm wide by 20.5cm deep, and 12.5cm high. I think the wood is Bolivian or Brazilian Rosewood. Please view all the photographs. More photos are available on request. Please ask any questions. Here’s a beautiful amethyst glass antique cigar jar humidor from Virginia with its original metal collar and lid.. Bold emb on bottom. Blank circle slug plate on front of jar…. 5 1/2″tall x 5 1/4″round….. Excellent shiny attic near mint condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean jar. The beautiful amethyst or purple color of this glass is a result of the presence of manganese in the glass, which was a decolorizer to turn the glass clear. Glass that contains manganese, when exposed to ultraviolet rays of the sun or other sources of UV rays, causes the glass to turn amethyst. Some of my amethyst bottles and glass are purpled from years of exposure to natural sunlight. Others have been purpled with the use of strong UV lights in a boxand some have been purpled by running them through a water sterilization plant, which is a safe and permanent process which does the same thing as many years of exposure to natural sunlight, except much faster. To those “purists” who falsely believe that glass cannot turn this deep amethyst color naturally, I could take you to places where bottles and glass have turned this same shade of purple from being in the sunlight for many years. THE CIGAR JAR AND LID WITH CIGARS STILL INSIDE AND THE JAR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL METAL BAND SEAL IN TACT. GLASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION EXCEPT FOR SOME TINY CHIGGER BITES ON THE TOP EDGE OF THE LID. IT IS VERY CLEAR CLASS AND IT IS EMBOSSED ON THE BOTTOM DISTRICT OF N. THE JAR HAS THE ORIGINAL METAL BAND SEAL THAT HAS NEVER BEEN REMOVED. I COUNTED APPROXIMATELY 40 CIGARS IN THE JAR. THE JAR IS APPROXIMATELY 7″ TALL AND 5″ IN DIAMETER. ALL IT TAKES IS TWO WAY COMMUNICATION. I DO MAKE MISTAKES, BUT WITH COMMUNICATION, PROBLEMS CAN BE RESOLVED ON YOUR SIDE AND MINE.
