Original Patent Model Tobacco Box. Inventor: Edward Ziesche of San Francisco, CA. This metal band around this model is broken at one edge but top still opens (see pictures). The metal is rusted and the wood shows its age. Included are the original patent tag issued when the model as submitted and the original tag when the patent was issued. Also included is a piece of paper that was attached to the back of the issuance tag. It has a drawing and description of the model. 7 x 7 x3. Review pictures close-up for details of condition. I’ve included ten or more pictures to best show the item. Pictures are high resolution so they show more detail than you could see with the item in your hand. The pictures are with and without flash to best show the item. All the patent models I have listed are from my collection. I’m making room for more. Most have their original tags. Others are without tags and in some cases damaged and in poor condition. All models are in original condition unless some of the lesser ones. On some of the damaged ones, I used orange oil to condition the wood or oil to inhibit rust. All these models are 130 to 174 years old! They all have some form of damage, from small nicks to being rusted and incomplete. You can print pages on better paper from either the Google patent search or USPTO websites.
