Early classic smoking stand “A CUSHMAN SMOKER” No. Very nice all original. Period decoration on front. Mahogany stained on birch. Coppered metal lined (see pics). Two ashtray stands set into stand with 6 nickel cigar rests. And match holder – even still has the striker. The above pieces are secured into the table by period screws (original). # _46 on label (# is a little hard to read looks believe 546 from the Cushman Catalog). Very solid and clean some minor scuffing 3 small cup rings on top surface. No gouges or wood cracks. This handcrafted table dates to very early 20th century circa 1910. All period screws and hinges and latch. Original blue glass ashtrays (large center ashtray has been repaired) see pics. This unique rare smoking stand……. Measures 24-1/4″ to top of table about 30″ to top of handle. Independent ashtrays measure about 20-1/2 tall. Large ashtray (glass) 4-3/4 diameter. 2 small ashtrays 3-1/2 diameter. CUSHMAN was a Civil War Veteran who began making furniture beginning in 1892. This is one of his original design creations.
