Fairly stunning example of Victorian-era tobacco appreciation, engraved with a date. This was obviously presented to a husband by his wife, on Christmas of 1899. It is a beautiful silver-plated jar with matching lid, inscription on side and also engraved on top. Shows a few dings, but rather than detract, they add to the heritage and charm of this truly singular piece. If you collect tobacco tins, or have a friend who does, this would be a unique addition or a one-of-a-kind present. To the humidor collection, never to be repeated.
