This ultra scarce 1910s “Pappoose” paper label rectangular humidor 25 cigar tin, measuring 53/8″ x 31/4″ x31/4, in very good condition with no dents, some very small superficial rust spots on the bottom exterior and interior lid and some minor age related paper discoloration. This extraordinary multicolored tin features superb detailed graphics of a smiling Native American baby in a papoose carrier which is propped up in the crotch of a tree. The cigars were manufactured by the Charles H. Simon Cigar Company, Davenport, IA. In Factory 22, First District, IA. This ultra scarce is a rare offering for the serious collector. This scarce 1910s “Old Peach Stogie” litho 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 6″ x 4 1/2″ is in good condition with no rust, some denting and some age related paint scratches and chips. Much of the original high gloss finish remains. This very attractive, colorful green and red tin with gold lettering features the bold slogan “The Cigar that made the Nickel Famous”. The Stogie cigar, sometimes called a Cheroute. Was a cigar which was cheaper to manufacture because it had both ends cut. The cigars were manufactured in Factory 8, 11th District, OH. This attractive, multicolored tin with red and gold lettering made by the Heekin Can Company, Cincinnati, OH. Features two Latino women wearing gold crowns and jewelry. One woman has a bow in her hand and a quiver on her back. The cigars were manufactured by the Peter N. Jacobsen Cigar Company, Davenport, Iowa, in Factory 203, 3rd District, Iowa. This rare 1910s “Flor de Franklin” rectangular 25 humidor cigar tin, measuring 5 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ x 3 isn very good condition with no rust. A small crease in a bottom corner and some minor age related paint scratches and scrapes. Some plating is missing from the lid. The cigars were manufactured by Hull Grummond & Company, Inc. Binghamton, NY in Factory 227, 21st District, NY. This very attractive blue tin with gold lettering features a multicolored lithograph of Benjamin Franklin, wearing a red waist coat while flying a kite attached to a golden rope. The Hull Grummond Cigar Company was a giant in the cigar industry at the turn of the century who employed over 300 workers in its Binghamton factory.
