A very beautiful pot turned in pink marble recalling the colors of the Saint Cirq stone widely used in Burgundy. This turned pink marble pot is nicely molded and in very good condition, with just a few small, minimal chips visible in the photos. A very beautiful covered pot in very decorative pink marble. 19 cm high and 14 cm in diameter at the base. In good condition as on the photos. It look just gorgeous! Decorated with a stag and a doe that have sulfide eyes. The deer’s horns were broken and reattached later (see photo) and will be removed for transport. Material: Solid wood, brass. This is a wonderful and rare 19th Century Figural Majolica Tobacco Jar – It is an elephant in a pink jacket with a brown pipe in its mouth. It is said these jars were made in Austria and Germany and were often given out as prizes at fairs and festivals. He stands approx 7 inches tall. He has two slight chips, not unusual given his age, but they don’t take away at all from his appearance. Pls look at pics closely. This Beautiful Thuya Burl Wood Pipe Stand and Humidor. On a tall pedestal foot that has a raised rim to hold the pipe stem. Hand-made in French Morocco of carved and Polished Thuya Burl Wood. The upper container has an applied threaded rim below the lid. This threaded rim has a old professional repair and threads to the tobacco bowl. The outer rim can hold 18 long stem delft pipes. And the upper Humidor holds the loose tobacco. Thuya is a rare, shrubby conifer, indigenous to southern Morocco. The bottom is embossed/stamped in French with. EN BOIS DE THUYA. Antique Continental Inlaid Wooden Box – Europe – 19th Century. Probably dating from the later part of the 19th Century, a beautifully inlaid wooden tobacco? Each of the 24 panels are a work of art, with detailed marquetry inlay, depicting scenes of rural life, including peasants making pasta. Separate lid is well fitting. There is a lock keyhole on the side (no key) and box is unlocked. Interior shows openings for cigarettes or cigars, with a central container that can be raised for holding loose tobacco? Interior of lid is lined with rich, blue velvet, apparently original to the piece. Old cracks, chips and losses throughout. Please examine photos carefully for condition. Highly unusual figural character tobacco humidor in the form of a Cowboy or Westerner figure. Probably Austrian made due to its finer details – this item is made just like the early bisque fairly lamps that were cats and dogs with marble eyes (this item does not have marble eyes). Item is all original but has a few factory things to note – inside of mouth has a pulled crack from factory, it was made that way (see close up of mouth) – and his left eye-lid has a factory pull mark to it as well. Both marks are factory and not damage per-say. As seen, the humidor sponge would fit into his oversized hat – item has superb detail and great colors – no chips or other noted issues. Item is all original but has a few factory things to note – inside of mouth has a pulled crack from factory, it was made that way (see close up of mouth) – and his left eye-lid has a factory pull mark to it as well. Both marks are factory and not damage per-say. As seen, the humidor sponge would fit into his oversized hat – item has superb detail and great colors – no chips or other noted issues.
