Dating to 1920s-30’s. At the same time Art Metal Works were making wonderful hood ornaments, and their Humidor lids were adorned with metal mascots. The Loyal Order of Moose is a fraternal and service organization founded in 1888 with nearly 650,000 men in roughly 1,600 Lodges in 49 states and four Canadian provinces, plus Great Britain and Bermuda. Along with other units of Moose International, the Loyal Order of Moose supports the operation of Moose heart Child City & School, a 1,000-acre community for children and teens in need, located 40 miles west of Chicago; and Moose haven, a 70-acre retirement community for its members near Jacksonville, FL. The Loyal Order of Moose organizes and participates in numerous sports and recreational programs, in local Lodges and Family Centers in the majority of 44 State and Provincial Associations, and on a fraternity-wide basis. Dating to 1910s-30’s. At the same time Art Metal Works were making wonderful hood ornaments, and their Humidor lids were adorned with metal mascots. If you want to know: HTWSSTKS (on Humidor) is an acronym with connections to the Masonic Temple, specifically Royal Arch Masons. The letters stand for, Hiram, Tyrian, Widows Son, Sent to King Solomon. Of course, now were left wondering who the heck Hiram is! As it turns out, all third degree Freemasons study the story of a man named Hiram Abiff a. Hiram the Widows Son. According to legend, Hiram was chief architect for the Temple of King Solomon. When bad guys tried to squeeze the secret masonic passwords out of Hiram, he valiantly refused to tell them. As a result, the bad guys killed poor Hiram. The wood is not dyed or treated, It is all natural, according to owner John Harding, declaring We believe in natural beauty and staining or treating the veneers only takes something away. The humidor is made in an elegant dome-topped chest form, with a brass lock on the front and sturdy brass handles on the side. Inside the chest are two slatted trays, so the humidor has two levels of storage. Manning humidors are incredibly highly regarded in the cigar world, sometimes described as The Rolls Royce of Humidors by afficionados. The humidor itself is in excellent condition. The wood has no chips or scratches. The hygrometer and humidity regulators are as you see them, still in their boxes. The lock is functioning well and we have the key. Fantastic Vintage Walnut Humidor Complete With Cigars

This is a wonderful, vintage quality walnut humidor. It has some normal wear and tear for a humidor of its age, but is in overall excellent condition. It also features a brass nameplate which has not been engraved and which is embedded in the top of the lid. The interior of the humidor is cedar-lined and has what I believe are porcelain liners in the top and bottom. It also has a removeable metal humidifier which is marked’Aztec Clay Moistener Co. The exterior measures 4 1/4″ high by 11″ wide by 8 1/4 deep. The interior compartment measures 9 9/16″ wide by 6 3/4″ deep.
