A majolica humidor in the shape of a pig dressed. With a purple jacket. Probably Austrian in manufacture, dating from the last quarter of the 19th century. Very desirable form of a personified pig in a purple jacket. Primarily in colors of peach, and purple. The pig’s head acts as the humidor lid handle. As is usual there is an hole in the base for a sponge to keep tobacco from drying out. The original natural sponge is still present. If you choose to you can probably easily remove it by wetting the sponge. Approximately 6 1/2 in height. There is 3/8 chip on the pig’s ear. Check the photographs for details. There are a few glaze skips here and there which is common on these humidors. There are no cracks and the interior is clean.

Antique Majolica Native American Humidor handpainted with flowers and a couple on the front. Has a nice floral motif around the top rim as well. This piece is from the 1890s. It has 1 flea bite chip on his right foot. There is another flea bite from the manufacturing process. The pictures help form part of the description. Please see the pictures for details and measurements. Considering this piece is 150+ years old, it is in good condition.

This has a great look to it and is very old. There is some crazing to the finish and some chipping as you can see from the pics. There may be some scratching or surface wear from age which is to be expected. Please see all photos for details and feel free to ask any questions. This piece measures 8″ tall by 7″ wide. It measures 11 1/4″ high x 6 3/4″ x 7 5/8 and is marked. It has a chip and a tiny flake on one collar and a small chip repair on the inside of the base on the top rim. Otherwise it has no other issues. It is a extremely large/ rare size for a Majolica humidor.
