OLD STAFFORDSHIRE MAJOLICA COVERED TOBACCO JAR WITH DOGS HUNTING / DOWNING A DEER. MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 7 1/2 INCHES (19CM) WIDE X 5 1/2 INCHES (14CM) IN DEPTH X. 8 INCHES (20CM) IN HEIGHT WITH COVER. BASE AND COVER ARE BOTH UNMARKED, I THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE MADE BY BROWN WESTHEAD MOORE BUT I. BELIEVE THIS PRE-DATES THE COMPANY. THERE IS A VERY OLD STAPLE REPAIR IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE (SEE LAST 5 PHOTOS) FOR CONDITION ISSUES. IN ADDITION THE DEERS LOWER JAW HAS BROKEN OFF (SEE PHOTOS) THERE LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING WAS ATTACHED TO THE BACK OF ONE OF THE DOGS (SEE PHOTOS). AND THERE IS A VISABLE CRACK THAT RUNS DOWN THE BASE WHERE THE STAPLE REPAIR WAS MADE. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS CAN BE MADE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
