Rare Antique Japanese Bankoware Tobacco Jar Humidor Trawlerman Sailor Fisherman Head. Antique Japanese Banko Ware tobacco jar with a design of an old fisherman or gardener. This piece is named after a well-known late 18th-century Japanese potter and represents a specific type of Japanese Banko pottery. It is in great condition for its age, no breaks or repairs, a few small flea bites on the lid. Needs a good cleaning. Rare circa early 1900s Hand Painted Humidor Tobacco Jar Marked on the bottom with impressed numbers. There are scattered paint flakes throughout. There are some minor chips/flakes on the rims of the lid and jar. There is an old chip on the underside of the hat brim. We do not see any repairs or repainting. There is rubbing wear to the original paint from age and use. Measures about 6-3/4″ tall x 5-1/2″ wide.

An Antique Early 1900’s Figural Fisherman On A Barrel, Majolica, Tobacco Jar Humidor. German or Austrian Origin. The humidor is in very good condition for it’s age with no cracks and only two very minor chips/flakes on the underside of the lid. There is some very minor paint loss.
