This Listing is for an Antique Figural Cigar Store Cast Page Boy Cigar Lamp or Lighter. This Amazing piece would be placed on a counter in a tobacco shop, cigar store or a country store. A very rare and desirable piece from a by gone era. Probably Ca 1890 – 1910 is my best judgement. This beautifully cast piece is quite heavy and is cast in White Metal with some sort of a wash. !!! The brass lamp with glass globe is not original to the piece but it sure displays nicely. It is not electrified and doesn’t appear to have a gas fitting. Overall measurements without the wooden base is 22 1/4 high x 8 1/2 wide. The wood base is 8 3/4 square and is contemporary. I have included a reference photo of a Page boy and girl Ca. 1887 by Wm Demuth & Co. This is a very rare find! I try to describe items as I hold them. I only accept Pay Pal. Up for sale is a rare antique ornate gilt brass figural humidor cigar store oil lighter display. It’s cast out of thick gilded brass with very elaborate detailing, is a heavy piece, and in the form of a cart. The humidor has a removable lid with an ashtray attached and nude fairy appliqués on each side done in high relief. It has ornate axeled wheels wheels that actually turn and an intricate oil lamp mounted two the back to light cigars. Antique Handel Lamp Co. Ware Humidor Tobacco Jar Artist Signed Horse Dog Arts and Crafts. Here is a Handel tobacco jar/humidor with a metal cover with a pipe used to hold matchsticks. The actual jar is painted and signed by the artist whose name appears to be something like Runge. The design on the front of the jar is a beautiful horse and a hound type dog. The jar without the top measures about 5 ½ tall while the entire piece measures 7 to the top of the pipe on the metal cover. The metal cover has some wear and dullness. The jar is in very good shape, but a cleaning may make it look even better. The interior is very clean and odorless. On the underside of the lid are the remnants of an old sponge held by a strip of metal. There is corrosion on the underside of the lid. On the bottom of the jar is the Handel stamp and what appears to be #4091 /J. This piece is in very good condition and a great example of Handel ware and arts and crafts design. BECAUSE MY ITEMS ARE ANTIQUE OR. USED/VINTAGE AND MAY REFLECT THEIR AGE I WILL. ALL ITEMS AND IMPERFECTIONS AS ACCURATELY AS I CAN. UP FOR SALE IS A “HANDEL WARE” TOBACCO JAR WITH A SETTER OR POINTER HUNTING DOG DECORATION. THE LID AND PIPE APPEAR TO BE MADE FROM PEWTER. WHEN THE LID IS REMOVED THERE IS A SMALL DENT ON THE TOP OF THE COPPER RING BUT WITH THE LID CLOSED IN PLACE, IT IS NOT SEEN. THE GLASS HUMIDOR IS ROUND AND SQUATTY. THE PIPE ON TOP OF THE LID ALSO SERVES AS A MATCH HOLDER, THE ARTIST BAUER CAN BE SEEN IN THE GREEN GRASS. THE BASE HAS THE HANDEL WARE STAMP ON THE BOTTOM AND #4060/B.
