Vintage rosewood cigar humidor dating from approximately the 1930s-1950s. This elegant example features richly figured rosewood veneer with striking horizontal grain patterning and rounded edge construction typical of Art Deco and early Mid-Century design. The lid is fitted with a brass nameplate engraved “DPM, ” likely the original owner’s initials. The humidor retains its original lock and hardware. Interior is lined in light wood and white paneling, clean and well preserved. Hinges are solid and function properly. Condition: Very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear. Minor edge wear and surface marks consistent with age. Bottom shows typical finish wear from use. Please review photos carefully. Carved Wood Folk Art Antique 13 x 8 Tin Lined Humidor Brass M. Monogram Lock Box (no key). Measurements – 3.5″ H x 13″ W x 8 D. Weight – 2 lb 9 oz. Very nice quality hand carved wood humidor box with brass inset monogram M. And tin lining, however there are some condition issues as follows: Crack across the top of the lid; rub mark below the brass monogram; no key for the lock; no chain to hold the lid when open. On the plus side: very nice quality wood; although lid is cracked the frame is not so the box is sturdy, lid fits properly and opens/closes with ease; true antique with age and character – brass inset monogram M. Original tin lining, metal button feet and lock – perhaps you can find a key’ carved panels all around except bottom. The scuffs are light and left as found – these could easily be touched up with finish feeder and look nicer than we are presenting. Offered here is a vintage heavy glass cigar/tobacco jar. The lid is marked sterling with a beautiful floral repousse. This item does have a few minor issues and I want to declare them so you know exactly what will show up at your home. The lid has some dings and scratches on outer edge and the glass has a few very small chips where the flat bevels meet the curved top 1/2. These chips are just in one small area and shown in close up photo. There is a long “factory cooling line” in the bottom also visible in a photo. For those interested, the glass fluoresces under UV light as shown in last photo. Weight is 3 lb, 0 oz. Height with lid in place is approx 6 1/2. The flaws declared are minor and this cigar jar displays beautifully. Sterling silver lid weighs 122 grams. Please view all photos to help appraise.
