Crafted from turned oak with pronounced grain and fitted with genuine sterling silver mounts. This piece features ornate sterling silver ring handles, a silver lid finial, and a decorative silver cartouche with monogram. The underside is clearly stamped “STERLING”, confirming. 925 silver mounts (not plated). The original interior sponge is present, indicating use as a tobacco humidor. A handsome and functional antique, suitable for display, tobacciana collections, or traditional décor. Solid turned oak construction. Genuine sterling silver mounts. Original lid with interior sponge. Decorative monogrammed silver cartouche. Two silver ring handles. Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Offered here is a handsome antique wooden cigar humidor featuring ornate brass mounts and raised script lettering reading “Cigars” across the lid. Crafted from beautifully grained oak, this piece showcases rich tiger-striping throughout the exterior. The lid is adorned with decorative brass corner brackets and an elegant raised brass script plaque. The front retains its original ornate escutcheon plate. The interior is lined with metal panels featuring pierced floral ventilation designs, typical of late 19th to early 20th century humidors intended to help regulate airflow. Measurements. 9.5″ wide. 6″ deep. 4 tall The interior retains its original metal lining. Please note there is visible age-related wear, patina to the brass, and spotting to the interior consistent with antique use. The key is not present, and the locking mechanism is untested. This is a wonderful display piece for a desk, study, smoking room, or antique bar setup. It would also make a fantastic prop or decorative accent in a Victorian or Edwardian-inspired interior.
