Here’s a beautiful yellow 1890s Double Eagle Cigars labeled 8 sided glass cigar jar from Theobald & Oppenheimer of Philadelphia…. Jar itself has no embossing, but colorful original label has picture of a double headed eagle & crown… REGISTERED BY THEOBALD & OPPENHEIMER CO…. Jar is early machine made… Smooth threaded collar with white painted tin lid… Excellent shiny near mint condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean jar with no haze. The Theobald & Oppenheimer Company founded in 1860 was one of the largest producers of hand rolled cigars in Philadelphia. They employed many women and minorities. This is a wonderful old tin cigar box with lid. It was from Bayuk Bros. 1600 in the first district in PA. It is in very good condition. I have photographed all sides of the tin. Has portrait on 3 sides and writing on the back. This tin is from the early 1900’s. The tins finish is still shiny. Has some light scratches and tiny dings. Great item to display.
