Highly detailed plated silver cigar humidor, with repoussé floral motif. Rectangular heavy box with two figural hunting dogs in bronze on the hinged lid. Inside compartments are missing, lined in red fabric. Made by Wilcox Silver Plate Company Meriden Connecticut. It is stamped on bottom with all this information along with the numbers: 7702 1/2. The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Was formed in Meriden, Connecticut. From 1865 to 1867, it was known as the Wilcox Brittania Co. In 1898, the company was acquired by the International Silver Company. 7.25x 6 x 3.

Very nice solid straight antique shape. Shows normal wear and age. HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED BY ME. Has a very nice patina and great look, but should clean up nicely I would think. I may be wrong, but I haven’t seen very many of these made by Bristol plate co. Has some scratches and scuffs. Has a couple small dings, but no significant damage. See pictures to make your own determination on physical condition.

A rare, antique Meriden silverplate Art Nouveau humidor with a nude lady on the lid. The box is just over 8.75 inches wide and is just over 2.5 inches tall. This is a very scarce model that is in excellent condition with only a few small touches of wear to some high points / high contact areas, and some light scratches. This vintage Rockford Illinois Silver Plate Company silver plated dog humidor is a great addition to any collector’s tobacciana collection. Made in the United States, this piece is not only functional but also a beautiful display item. The dog’s glass eyes add a unique touch to the piece, making it a standout among other antique and vintage humidors. It has a few condition issues such as the hinge missing from the back door that the dogs sit on. It is also missing the nut that would have kept that lid closed. It is 6 3/8″ long by 5 1/2″ wide. It stands approximately 5 7/8 tall measuring from the surface it is sat on to the top of the dog’s ears. Both dogs still have their glass eyes. Please see photos to judge the condition for yourself.
