Great condition, no chips or cracks. A little corrosion under the lid. Large Delft Tobacco jar – the Lancaster writing on the front makes me think of Demuth Tobacco. There is a little imperfection in the glaze on the front sort of above the R, see photos.

The jar is signed Noke by the artwork, and there are no chips or cracks to this piece. The tobacco jar measures 8″ tall x 4.75″ in diameter, and displays very nicely! Royal Doulton Lion crown mark used from 1901 -1922. I’m guessing this is from the 1910’s from what info I’ve found, but I could be wrong on the date, but I know it falls between the date range of the mark listed above.

Here we have a Royal Doulton tobacco humidor that has been preserved to nothing short of great condition. This humidor features the illustration “Every dog has his day, and every man his hour”. The Doulton family started making stoneware goods (tableware, pipes, and sanitary fittings) in 1815, later enlisting local artists and art students to design the incredibly popular pieces. Doulton was granted the Royal Warrant in 1901 by King Edward VII, and continues to make fine glassware to this day, now a part of the Waterford Wedgwood family. 7″ x 5 1/2″ x 6.
