Ornate Vintage Silver-Plated Hinged Jewelry Box, Embossed Relief, Velvet Interior. Vintage silver-plated hinged jewelry/trinket box with richly detailed repoussé embossed scenes on the lid and sides, elevated on small ornate feet. The lid opens to reveal a turquoise/teal velvet lined interior. Exterior shows antique patina and wear consistent with age, adding character to this decorative piece. Size: Approximate dimensions: 8? Wide by 5.5? Deep by 2. Condition: Good vintage condition. Visible wear on the silver-plate (tarnish, minor surface abrasions, patina) – as shown in the photos. If you have enough space in your office or hobby room this is a stunning piece able to store safely any of your oversized pens. It has four remove layers. Layer 1: 11 pens (suitable for Namiki Emperor pens). Layer 2: 11 pens (suitable for Namiki Emperor pens). Layer 3: 12 pens (MB 149, Namiki Yukari and Namiki Yukari Royale). Layer 4: 12 pens (MB 149, Namiki Yukari and Namiki Yukari Royale). Total: 46 pens, Ton to ton anthracite grey goat leather lining for 46 pens. Very elegant and scarce colour made by bespoke order of the previous owner (a French discerned Namiki Collector). The keys are included. On the inside there is no trace of ink and the lining is well preserved. Personally I find the striated effect of the wood absolutely remarkable.
