Deldare Ware Underglaze Ye Buffalo Pottery Humidor Round Version. It is also signed by artist. Harder to find round humidor by Buffalo Pottery. Dated 1909, signed on base. No chips but it does have a very hard to find almost impossible to see hairline on rim of the body. Tap on the rim and it has nice ring, the hairline is very hard to find, otherwise just superb condition and wonderful item. Almost 8 tall with the lid. Motto’s read There was an old sailor and he had a wooden leg. He had no tobacco. And save up your rocks. And you’ll always have tobacco in your own tobacco box.

Listed is a Buffalo Pottery Deldare Ware piece that is a tobacco humidor. It stands 7″ tall and the base is 8 sided and 6″ in diameter. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It is marked “Ye Lion Inn” and it is signed but I cannot make out the signature. Feel free to ask questions.

Really tough to spot are the odd small and faint scratch here or there. I missed it on the first three inspections-there is a chip\ epair on the top rim. Still, condition is Excellent. Height is about 7 inches. This is beyond my control. You may want to familiarize yourself with the laws of your state regarding this matter.

It is engraved collar buttons Buffalo 1901. Can be used for anything that you desire. Underneath reads Apollo silver company quadruple plate. Nicely contoured, old, tobacco jar. Alternating textured and smooth glass. Classic western scene on the lid. Arts & Crafts The JEWETT HUMIDOR Buffalo NY. Mahogany humidor with white porcelain liner. Hammered Arts & Crafts bronze hardware with hammered iron nails and finger lift handle. Bottom is lined with zinc. Comes with original clay insert with zinc encasement and handy ring pull. Wire rack is also intact and present. There is a wear spot on the inside of the box, shown in photo. Also, the right hinge needs better lubrication as it can cause the back to pull the nails out on that side and the box does not shut super tight. This could easily be refinished if you chose. Either way, a rare and beautiful humidor. Measures about 11 ½ wide x 6 ¾ high x 8 ¾ deep. Thanks for checking out Mainebrook’s Estate auctions.
