We offer for your consideration this antique A. This is a beautiful old Edwardian era humidor. The Alfred Dunhill Company opened a shop in New York in 1921, three years later a shop was opened in Paris. The product label on this humidor does not include the Paris location, that was later included on the product labels. So this humidor was produced, we estimate, between 1921 to 1924. This humidor has a beautiful hand carved wood case that skillfully mixes geometric design elements with natural design elements. The wood, over time, has developed a wonderful dark patina. The box was built with very nice joinery techniques. There is a tin lining with copper and red felt gaskets. There is a lock mechanism present, but we do not have the key. This humidor is used, and shows some signs of use, and it’s age. But for it’s age it still looks beautiful. The ornate exterior would look right at home in a wood paneled office, study, or cabin. This humidor measures approximately 12 in. By 5 1/4 in. This humidor weighs approximately 5 pounds.
