This vintage 1920s “Train Master” rectangular 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, in very good condition, with no rust and some very minor age related paint scratches. The original high gloss finish remains. This whimsical, colorful white tin withl red, blue, yellow lettering was made by the Liberty Can Company. The top edge has a Train Master train going through a tunnel. The tin was manufactured by the Cardone Cigar Company in Factory 1171, 1st District, PA.

It is in good antique condition consistent with its age of over 115 years. Any question, please ask before purchasing it. Painted (polychrome) terracotta is typically first covered with a thin coat of. The typical firing temperature is around 1,000 °C (1,830 °F), though it may be as low as 600 °C (1,112 °F) in historic and archaeological examples. For this reason, many terra cotta objects (such as match holders/strikers) lose the paints on the surface easily as seen in many vintage/antique examples. Some paints could even be washed off with alcohol or similar solutions if they are not fired up to 1,000 °C.
