Vintage Tiger Oak Wood Humidor / Keepsake Box – White Milk Glass Lining. Stunning Grain & Classic Craftsmanship. Up for sale is a gorgeous vintage humidor/keepsake box crafted from solid quarter-sawn oak. The lid features a dramatic “tiger oak” grain pattern with beautiful natural chatoyancy. The interior is fully lined with pristine white milk glass (or heavy opaque vitrolite), traditionally used in humidors to maintain moisture levels for cigars, but equally perfect for protecting jewelry or fine collectibles. Material: Quarter-sawn Tiger Oak exterior; White Milk Glass interior lining. Design: Classic rectangular form with a blank silver-tone brass presentation plaque on the lid (ready for custom engraving). Hardware: Features original inset hinges, a lid stay-arm to prevent over-extension, and a front keyhole (key not included). 4.5 – 5 inches. Exterior: Very good vintage condition with a rich, deep patina. Minor age-appropriate surface wear. The wood remains sturdy with tight joints. Interior: The white glass lining is in excellent shape-clean, bright, and free of major chips or cracks. Functionality: Hinges and stay-arm are smooth and fully functional. Antique French Burled Wood Cigar Humidor Presenter Napoleon III Period

This is a sophisticated antique French-style humidor cabinet or “presenter, ” likely dating to the Napoleon III period (mid to late 19th century). It is constructed of burled wood and features ornate marquetry with inlaid work of different woods, mother-of-pearl and brass on the top and front case, a sign of superior quality and artistry. It also has a working lock mechanism with a key and sits on four onion-like shaped feet. Inside, there are four trays that each can store up to 12 cigars as well as a pull out lower tray. The lid is shelved by design and is supported by two pairs of functioning hinges plus a single pinch lock brace to keep the lid open. This stunning humidor measures approximately 8″ H x 7.5″ D x 10.25 W and weighs 4 pounds, 13 ounces. Get it for your collection now before it is too late! This is a beautiful humidor in very good condition. I have not cleaned it… I know very little about these types of antiques so I will leave it to the new owner. The letters in “Cigars” look a bit faded and at first glance I thought it had hairline cracks (where the light brown lines are) but it doesn’t… It’s just the pattern.
