Rice Mercantile Amber Glass Cigar Jar with Lid – St. Jar is in very good condition for its age. There are slight manufacturing flaws in the glass as follows. There is a glass chip fused with the jar which can be felt from the outside (photo 3). From the inside, it feels like a slight indent. Shown in photos 6 & 12 are small air bubbles inside the glass. There is also a small rough edge and minor imperfections on the bottom. From use, the rim of the jar has light wear & tiny chipping all the way around. Lid is worn with erosion & other signs of age. The wording on it is still intelligible. Jar reads Mercantile (Air-Tight) Havana Cigars St. , along with patent dates from 1984 to 1985 when the jar was made.
