A beautiful vintage cigar humidor made by Woodsmen, Manufactured in USA and still in great condition. The exterior wood is nice condition and has a shine to the surface. The detail work in the box is exquisite and really would be a great collection for anyone wanting to store your cigars. The gauge is functioning. An Arts & Crafts Mahogany Smoking Stand with Humidor by HT Cushman, United States, c. This Smoking Stand would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. This tasteful Gentleman’s accent piece is absolutely timeless and includes an assortment of great features. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout accompanied by a deep original finish. The top surface of the Stand includes a hammered cast iron removable ashtray, match holder, pack holder and a cutter. The bottom shelf includes a solid bronze tobacco humidor with lid as well as a revolving area to display a decanter or bottle. Each side of the piece shows 3 holes to display pipes. The large storage door below offers tremendous open storage with an added modernized latch to keep the door shut. The underside of the Stand is marked HT Cushman. Condition: This Smoking Stand was exceptionally well made, it’s both solid and sturdy. Mild surface scratches, finish blemishes and wear is shown throughout, although this piece is in good condition. Vintage Bank Note 5¢ Cigars Wooden Humidor Box Tin Lined With Hinged Lid. Wood is in superior condition. Observe the beautiful grain patterns. The Humidor is structurally sound with solid working hinges for the lid. A prior owner affixed new green felt to the bottom. There is some discoloration and spotting of the interior tin. Rare Antique c1900 Native American Indian Chief German Majolica Pottery Humidor. This is a charming and rare estate found antique cigar tobacco humidor crafted in Germany around the turn of the century. The majolica art pottery humidor is rendered in the shape of the head of an American Indian chief with a feathered headdress. Dimensions: It is 8 1/2″ tall x 4 3/4 x 5″. Condition: In overall good condition consistent with age and use. Crazing to the glaze. There chipped loss to the topmost feather on the headdress. There is a chipped loss to the interior rim of the humidor which has an associated tight and stable crack as pictured. There is a small flake to the glaze on the underside of the lid. Tiny scattered flakes to the glaze on the top rim of the humidor. Please examine the images for the best indication of condition. Rare BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX Black Forest Figural Wood Carved Humidor c. 1950

BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX. Black Forest Figural Wood Carved Humidor c. This is an Awesome BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX Black Forest Figural Wood Carved circa 1950. This tobacco jar music box. Is dark brown in color, with some decorative color accents, (photographed in natural light, the photos appear lighter than actual color). Is well modeled in deep relief with very good carving and detail. Depicts a seated bear carved in Black Forest style. Has an expressive face, a mouth with teeth, glass paperweight style eyes, ears straight up. Has a custom top, the head lifts open, and is fitted to the body; the base container, with a brass hinge, is the body of the bear with four outstretched paws; the base is hollowed out as a tobacco jar. Has a Thorens MUSIC BOX built into the base, which is activated by a string attached to the top; when the lid is opened the music box is activated- it plays There is No Place Like Home and Way Down Upon the Swanee River. The music box has been serviced, cleaned and oiled, and it works. Once the lid is closed the two songs stop after being played through. Has a round plinth elevated base with three small rounded feet; the underside has the winder key and access panel to the music box. Tall x 5.5 In. Wide x 6.5 In. The estimated date is circa 1950. The BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX Black Forest is in very good condition. Condition status includes minimal normal wear and rubbing. Overall, this work is sound, having no chips, cracks, or major defects, and having had no apparent repairs or restorations. Please see all photos which are a part of this description. In the 1800s the wood carving industry of Switzerland started in the town of Brienz. By the end of the 1800s it had become the driving force for this industry in Switzerland and Germany. Swiss wood carvers became world renowned and featured at many international exhibitions. In Europe, Black Forest carvings (wares) became a symbol of luxury and wealth. The finest pieces of Black Forest carving were often found in Royal collections and elite collectors homes (usually Victorian world travelers).
