Vintage Arts & Crafts Bronze Tobacco Jar Cigar Humidor Bradley & Hubbard

Condition is good with minor dings and dents in the lid. Bronze painted brass with 6 bronze or copper panels. The base is cast iron. Unmarked, but very similar humidors have been attributed to B&H. This particular humidor was part of the collection of Jerry Terranova, and was photographed on page 19 in his book, “Great Cigar Stuff”. 8″ tall x 6 1/4″ diameter at the base. THIS PIECE CAN BE USED FOR ITS ORIGINAL PURPOSE BUT ALSO MAKES A GREAT NIGHTSTAND, SIDE OR ACCENT TABLE OR PLANT STAND. IT HAS A LARGE GEOMETRICAL CARVING ON THE FRONT DOOR AND BACK OF THE PIECE AND HAS A TEAR DROP TYPE PULL. DOOR OF CABINET IS DROP DOWN TYPE. THIS PIECE IS VERY STOUT AND HEAVY. IT MEASURES 18″ WIDE X 12 1/8″ DEEP X 20 1/8 TALL. THE INSIDE MEASURES 11 3/4″ WIDE X 7 7/8″ DEEP X 8 1/2 TALL. ITEM IS IN GREAT ANTIQUE CONDITION. Arts & Crafts The JEWETT HUMIDOR Buffalo NY. Mahogany humidor with white porcelain liner. Hammered Arts & Crafts bronze hardware with hammered iron nails and finger lift handle. Bottom is lined with zinc. Comes with original clay insert with zinc encasement and handy ring pull. Wire rack is also intact and present. There is a wear spot on the inside of the box, shown in photo. Also, the right hinge needs better lubrication as it can cause the back to pull the nails out on that side and the box does not shut super tight. This could easily be refinished if you chose. Either way, a rare and beautiful humidor. Measures about 11 ½ wide x 6 ¾ high x 8 ¾ deep. Thanks for checking out Mainebrook’s Estate auctions. Vintage handmade wood brass steel copper Arts & Crafts Art Nouveau cigar box

Up for sale is an extremely high quality vintage handmade Arts and Crafts cigar box. It’s made out of a hand carved mahogany base and completely embellished with ornate Arts and Crafts detailing throughout. The box has very thick forged steel sides with copper appliqués and hardware all held with exquisite brass riveting. It has elaborate pivoting handles on each side made of brass and copper mounts and a hinged lock on the face. The box opens on a hinge and is lined with a thick stainless steel lining. It’s in exquisite condition and is extremely heavy. Measures 13 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide by 5 7/8 inches tall. It may have has a removable shelf inside. Antique Handel Lamp Co. Humidor Tobacco Jar Signed Horse Dog Arts & Crafts

Antique Handel Lamp Co. Ware Humidor Tobacco Jar Artist Signed Horse Dog Arts and Crafts. Here is a Handel tobacco jar/humidor with a metal cover with a pipe used to hold matchsticks. The actual jar is painted and signed by the artist whose name appears to be something like Runge. The design on the front of the jar is a beautiful horse and a hound type dog. The jar without the top measures about 5 ½ tall while the entire piece measures 7 to the top of the pipe on the metal cover. The metal cover has some wear and dullness. The jar is in very good shape, but a cleaning may make it look even better. The interior is very clean and odorless. On the underside of the lid are the remnants of an old sponge held by a strip of metal. There is corrosion on the underside of the lid. On the bottom of the jar is the Handel stamp and what appears to be #4091 /J. This piece is in very good condition and a great example of Handel ware and arts and crafts design. BECAUSE MY ITEMS ARE ANTIQUE OR. USED/VINTAGE AND MAY REFLECT THEIR AGE I WILL. ALL ITEMS AND IMPERFECTIONS AS ACCURATELY AS I CAN.
