Antique Quarter Sawn Solid Tiger Oak Wood Chest Box with Brass Hardware

Antique Quarter Sawn Tiger Oak Chest with Brass Hardware. Antique oak chest featuring quarter sawn construction with pronounced tiger grain. Fitted with original brass corner mounts and heavy brass lift handles that open to approximately 90 degrees. The overall construction, materials, and hardware are consistent with late 19th to early 20th century workmanship. The interior is unlined. The lid lock hardware is missing and no key is present. The exterior shows a distinct, faded wide stripe pattern forming a cross across the top and extending down the sides. This appears consistent with prior contact with a covering, wrap, or material that has affected the finish over time, leaving variation in the surface coloration. This listing is for a beautifully crafted vintage burl wood humidor featuring a glossy lacquered exterior, a rich burl grain pattern, and premium hardware. The humidor includes brass lid-stay hinges that securely hold the lid open – a feature typically found on higher-end cigar boxes. The lid opens smoothly and stays in position without closing on its own. The interior includes wooden ventilation slats, natural wood lining, and a built-in analog hygrometer (untested). Two bonus wooden cigar boxes are included: a Padron Nicaragua box and a Churchill box with latch – perfect for organizing smaller cigars or accessories. VINTAGE Copper, Brass &Tin Rumidor Tobacco Humidor/Canister RARE 1900’s Piece

VINTAGE Copper, Brass &Tin Rumidor Tobacco Humidor/Canister RARE 1900’s Piece. WHAT MAKES THIS A RARE PIECE IS THAT IT USES 3 SEPARATE MATERIALS – A BRASS COVER, A COPPER MIDDLE & IT IS COMPLETELY TIN LINED. I HAVE NOT FOUND ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT. THE INFORMATION GIVEN LEANS IT TOWARDS ONE OF THE FIRST TO COME OUT OF THE NEW YORK FACILITY. This Rumidor is in Excellent condition. It is showing it’s age with a Beautiful Patina. It has NO DENTS or other. A 1920s era copper humidor. It measures 7 ¾ inches high and 5 7/8 inches in diameter across the bottom. There are no dents. The knob on the top of the lid turns, and has three markings on it: IN, ON, and OFF. Inside the lid is 1 7/8 inch diameter cylinder with 5 holes on the side. Turning the knob on the top adjusts the holes from being completely open to completely closed, adjusting the humidity inside. The knob turns, but is a bit stiff. The bottom of the cylinder inside the lid is stamped with U. OFF THE RUMIDOR CORPORATION NEW YORK CITY. The humidor is tin-lined inside and has age spotting.

Offered here is a handsome antique wooden cigar humidor featuring ornate brass mounts and raised script lettering reading “Cigars” across the lid. Crafted from beautifully grained oak, this piece showcases rich tiger-striping throughout the exterior. The lid is adorned with decorative brass corner brackets and an elegant raised brass script plaque. The front retains its original ornate escutcheon plate. The interior is lined with metal panels featuring pierced floral ventilation designs, typical of late 19th to early 20th century humidors intended to help regulate airflow. Please note there is visible age-related wear, patina to the brass, and spotting to the interior consistent with antique use. The key is not present, and the locking mechanism is untested. The elongated rectangular form measures. 13″ long. 4″ deep. 2.75 high Crafted from solid oak with beautiful linear grain throughout, this humidor has a strong Arts & Crafts presence with clear Art Nouveau styling in the hardware. The lid is decorated with sculptural brass serpents in relief – a dramatic and uncommon design element. The front features an elaborate, organic-form brass escutcheon surrounding the keyhole. The interior is fully oak-lined, retaining its original natural wood surface. No modern lining has been added. The underside of the lid shows age wear and adhesive residue from what may have once been a lining or humidification element.
