Antique Victorian Box re purposed as a Cigar Humidor Circa 1880. Approx Size: 14″ x 9.25″ x 12. Great overall antique condition. Originally a writing slope, it has been re-purposed as cigar humidor and ceder wood lining has been added later to the interior. Original lock and key. There are two filters in the lid to regulate humidity, these will likely need new filters to function. Good large size and a good conversion. Monogram to the inlaid mother of pearl. ST CLEMENT c1900 French Faience MEDOR Dog LARGE Humidor Tobacco Jar Box 465. MAKER: St Clement, France, Circa late 19th to early 20th century. PIECE NAME: Medor Figural Dog Tobacco Humidor. DIMENSIONS: 5 1/4″ tall, 4″ across base – around 6 long from back of head to tip of nose. When you remove the lid though you’ll see someone has broken and glued the interior back together. There is a piece that is not glue back but it is included inside the humidor. Please see all images and contact me with any questions. Antique VCTORIA CARLSBAD AUSTRIA Porcelain Humidor Tobacco Jar with a Figural Pipe Lid. Dates back to a period between 1891 and 1918. In addition to the blue mark, there are letters “V” on the bottom, inside the jar and inside the lid. The jar is in amazing condition for it’s age. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. The lid and the rim had some sort of plating which has mostly worn off. Measures approximately 7.5″H including the pipe; the opening is about 3.5″ in diameter; the base is 3.75 in diameter. It Has Stunning Embossed Palina Cigars Lettering with the Advertisng Slogan “The Quality Cigar Since 1896″. It is Also Signed on the Bottom with Embossed Lettering. 7 1/4″ Tall to the Top of the Cover x 6″ in Diameter. There is Normal Wear from Age and Use and Some Edge and Cover Nicks As Pictured, Overall Good Original Condition with a Wonderful Aged Patina! A wonderful antique Brass Humidor Cigarette Box with Cedar lining made by Nicholas Haydon, NYC. Features beautifully carved cover & sides in Asian Scenes. The box has four curved feet and etched brass fittings. In good antique condition, general surface wear consitent with age and use, light tarnish, light scratches, the hinged lid open smoothly – see photos. 2″h x 5.5″l x 3.5w.
