Wilhelm Binder Germany solid silver 830 Ag. German military interest silver cigar box, the hinged lid with engraved inscription, impressed marks to the base, 4cm H x 17cm W x 9cm D, 395.9g. The box was presented to Korpsführer FRIEDRICH CHRISTIANSEN, Major General of the German Army, on the occasion of his inauguration as Korpsführer NSFC 1937. Korpsführer was a Nazi Party paramilitary rank that was the highest rank used by the National Socialist Motor Corps and the National Socialist Flyers Corps. Translated as “Corps Leader”, the rank of Korpsführer was held by the single officer in command of the entire organization. The rank was the equivalent of Reichsführer-SS, at least on paper.
