Old Majolica Pottery Tobacco Jar / Humidor. The glossy olive green jar is decorated with a Native American Image on one side, and a flower stem on two sides. The jar rim is decorated with a brown band. The cover has a black Americana finial featuring a black figure wearing a hat and holding a pipe. The interior is a tan color. There is dark brown decorative coloring near the base on one side. The base has an impressed number mark. SIZE: 6 1/8 inches high x 3 1/4 inches wide. CONDITION: The jar has a tiny flake on the top rim — the cover rim has a few tiny rim nicks with one small corner rim chip — the top part of the cover has a tiny indented spot, probably from a glaze pop — the figure’s head has specks of color wear, and appears to be reglued. The are white glare spots in the photos, especially seen in the interior and top cover views. Great old tobacco jar — unique piece.
