Vintage Figural Native American Indian Majolica Jar Tobacco Humidor Shelf Sitter

Figural Native American Indian Majolica Tobacco Jar Humidor. Collectible Vintage Humidor or Shelf Sitter. Distinctive in its appearance, a beautifully multi-colored glazed piece appears to be majolica style. Made with nearly pure white clay, the base and rim edges are unglazed. The glaze feels smooth and glossy on the headdress and shirt front and back, but the face feels more of a rough finish and feels like a raw bisque. Color imperfections on the face are not scuffs or chips. There is almost no crazing to be found. The eyes look lifelike and include the full whites of the eye, a green-colored iris, and a black pupil. Impressed numbers on the bottom are 6628 & 32. 91 & 22 numbered with black glaze. I cannot verify this item’s age, but the impression may indicate that this could have been made before 1914. There are no chips, but the jar has two hairline cracks that run the full length of the jar. One runs through both sides of the jar. Because of the hairline cracks, this has been priced accordingly. It measures approximately 8 ½ in H x 6 ¼ in W x 5 in D and weighs 1 lb. Please see all photos in the enhanced/enlarged mode as part of the full condition description. Vintage Native American 3 Chief Head Totem Humidor Cigar Tobacco Canister Rare. This is a very unique and colorful vintage ceramic piece, featuring three Native American Chiefs in their headdresses and paint with a totem lid. There are some small chips along the top edge of feathers and the bottom edge of lid. This piece is so I catching, that it that is the last place your eyes go, though. Antique Black African American Woman Bust Tobacco Jar Humidor Vtg

Listing is for an antique tobacco jar, figural bust of a black woman. Unmarked, unknown maker or origin. I did an on-line search and could not find this particular jar, many similar variations were found, the headscarf was always a different shape and the green stripes at a different angle. A few had earrings, which were also different. Most, if not all, of the variations were easy enough to find matching examples. This jar’s headscarf has light criss cross incised lines, basically unfeelable. The jar does have a few minor imperfections: The lid has an edge nick, see the 8th and 9th photo, also there is a tinish brownish spot that is under the glaze, also in the center there is a tiny paint rub. See the 6th & 7th photo of the jar’s inner rim, which has a nick, and two tiny and tight cracks that may be factory flaws, hard to tell. Most of her lipstick has worn away. I think the lipstick itself is cold painted. There are other areas with paint loss and scratches. Stands approximately 4 1/2 tall to top of head with lid on. Antique AMERICAN BRILLIANT ABP Cut Glass PAIRPOINT NEVADA Tobacco Jar Humidor

This listing is for an Old Vintage Antique American Brilliant Period Cut Glass 7.5″ tall Cigar Jar Tobacco Humidor in the “Nevada Pattern by Pairpoint. It is very well cut with Deep Sharp Miters. There are 3 Large 24 Point Hobstars around body with Blazed Concave Ovals between each, and 24 Point Rayed Base. The top of Lid is covered with a 24 Point Ray. It is factory ground and tapered to fit in the Jar perfectly. Both Lid and Jar have matching inscribed number “11”. It is in great condition overall with no cracks or large chips. I found 2 tiny nicks to outer Jar rim, a couple small chips to bottom inside of lid, and a couple minor small flakes to exterior hobstars of jar (photos 9-12), are the worst. Nothing bad or noticeable. No other issues that I can find. Very clean and crystal clear in and out! Please view the photos carefully as they are my main description. It is thick and heavy weighing just under 3.5 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed. It measures 7 5/8″ tall to top of lid, 5 5/8″ tall to rim, 4 3/8″ across outer rim, 3 1/4″ tapered opening, and 4 3/8 at the base.
