Vintage 1960s Large Hermes Double Serpent Silver Brass Valet Box Humidor

Considering that this Hermes silver, brass and mahogany cigarette box is nearly 60years old, it’s in tremendous condition. Generously sized, it’s quite a special piece. The intertwined double-serpent form on top is spectacular. Its textured top is engine-turned. We gave this a cursory exterior polish. It can quickly be polished to an even more regal shine. HERMES PARIS Made in France is stamped on the side. Additionally, there is another imprint stamped in between (please see photos). The mahogany wood-lined interior is gorgeous, and free of imperfections. Its removable dividers are tight and in place. And it’s generously sized at H. X W 8.75 in. X D 5.75 in. This rare 1910s “Blue Spot” humidor 50 cigar tin. Measuring 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ x 5 1/2. Is in good condition with no rust, some tiny creases and some minor age related paint chips. The Liberty Can Company, Lancaster, PA. Manufactured this very attractive, colorful yellow and white tin which features an image of a cigar spanning a large circular blue dot on its sides and lid. THIS PIECE CAN BE USED FOR ITS ORIGINAL PURPOSE BUT ALSO MAKES A GREAT NIGHTSTAND, SIDE OR ACCENT TABLE OR PLANT STAND. IT HAS A LARGE GEOMETRICAL CARVING ON THE FRONT DOOR AND BACK OF THE PIECE AND HAS A TEAR DROP TYPE PULL. DOOR OF CABINET IS DROP DOWN TYPE. THIS PIECE IS VERY STOUT AND HEAVY.
