For your consideration I have this really neat golf themed, silver plated humidor/cigar box manufactured by Jennings Brothers in Bridgeport, CT, circa early 1900’s-1920’s. It remains in good condition and the lid still opens and closes as it was designed to. The four bakelite side panels are missing that would have gone around the inside of the box, however, the bottom piece is still present. Also, there is a small repair to one corner of the bakelite on the inside of the lid. Measurements are: 6 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4 (to the top of the golf ball). Feel free to ask any questions. Please pay within 24 hours.

The whole thing is 8″ H x 5.5″ W. The glass jar alone is 4.75″ x 4″. Please note there is one small chip on the edge of one of the glass panels. Other than that it is in overall good condition. The brass plated metal lid is shaped like an Egyptian pharaoh, a motif made popular in the 1920s after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb. Please note that the plating has some wear but there’s no physical damage.

Rare circa early 1900s Hand Painted Humidor Tobacco Jar. We are not sure of the origin, but we suspect it is German or French. Marked on the bottom with raised numbers. There are a few really good repairs under the edge of the lid, as shown. The tip of the visor on his helmet has been repaired and the paint color match is excellent. There is minor rubbing wear to the original paint from age and use. Measures about 6″ tall x 5-1/2″ wide.
