This scarce 1920s “Fra:Bac” round litho 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/8″ x 5 1/8″, is in very good condition with a small dent and crease on the lid, some superficial rust on the lid interior and some minor age related paint scratches. Much of the original high gloss finish remains. This very impressive black and red tin was made by American Can Company, Boston, MA. It features bold graphics advertising the “Fra:Bac” tobacco brand. The tobacco was manufactured by the Charles B. Perkins, Boston, MA in Factory 26, District, MA. This scarce 1900s “Julia Marlowe” litho flat humidor hinged cigar tin, measuring 1 1/8″ x 4 7/8″ x 8 1/4, is in good condition with no dents or rust and some age related paint scratches and chips. This highly attractive multicolored tin features two images of the American actress Julia Marlowe, who was born Sarah Frances Frost in Kesick, England in 1865 and died in New York in 1950. Ms Marlowe was internationally known for her interpretations of Shakespeare. The detailed image on the exterior lid features her in the role of Juliet with possibly her husband E. The interior lid features Ms. Marlowe in profile, sitting in a chair. The cigars were manufactured by Jose Granda Hermanos y Ca. Montreal, Canada in Factory 24, Port 17. This scarce 1910s paper label “Integrity” 25 cigar humidor tin, measuring. 4 3/4″ x 3″ x 3, is in excellent condition with no rust or dents and some age related paint chips on the lid. The paper label is in near mint condition with some spots of small loose paper areas along the very top edge of the lid. This very attractive yellow and blue tin features a lovely, detailed, framed portrait of a brunette woman whose head is leaning against the cheek of a white horse. The cigars were manufactured by the T. Snowden & Company, Atchison, KS. In Factory 117, District, KS. In 1917, the company employed 11 workers who hand rolled the cigars. This very attractive ochre tin with black and gold lettering was made by the Elwood Myers Company, Springfield, OH. It features a black triangle with the brand’s slogan written on its edges. The cigars were manufactured by the Roby Cigar Company, Barnesville, OH. In Factory 84, 11th District, OH. A fire destroyed the original factory in 1921. This scarce 1910s litho B. Humidor 25 cigar tin, measuring. 5 1/4″ x 3 3/8″ x 3 3/8 is in very good condition with no dents, a few tiny dot sized rust spots on one interior wall, and some very minor age related paint scratches and chips. Much of the original high gloss finish remains. There is a nearly complete union stamp. The cigars were manufactured by the Brinkmann, Meisel & Recker Cigar Company, St. Louis, MO in Factory 331, 9th District, PA. The Ritter Manufacturing Company, Philadelphia, PA. Made this very attractive bright orange and blue tin with white lettering. This scarce 1910s “Hazel Kirke” litho 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/4″ x 5″, is in fair condition with some interior rust on the bottom seams, some dents and some age related paint scratches and chips. The Liberty Can Company made this very attractive white tin with multicolored decoration. It features a detailed, exotic image of the famous actress, Effie Ellsler, who played the character “Hazel Kirke” in the play of the same name. Dramatic lighting highlights her face as she is smoking a cheroot. The play was written by Steele MacKaye in Dublin, New Hampshire in 1879. The play would go on to be performed 2000 times by revolving casts, a concept revolutionized by MacKaye. The cigars were manufactured by the S. Ottenberg & Brothers Cigar Company, New York, NY. This scarce 1920s “EPCO” humidor litho 25 cigar tin, measuring. 5 3/8″ x 3 7/8″, is in excellent condition with no rust, a couple of very small dents and some very minor age related paint scratches. The original high gloss finish remains. This very attractive brown faux wood tin wi black white and orange lettering ornamentation was made by the Liberty Can Company, Lancaster, PA. The cigars were made by the East Prospect Cigar Company, East Prospect, PA. In Factory 495, 1st District, PA.
