This vintage tobacco jar is in really great shape! I do not know for certain that this is a tobacco jar. I only know that it was being used for that when I obtained it. It may have had some type of wicker/leather/rope handle that went over the ceramic handles on the side? The beautiful design is iridescent and color changes slightly under different light. There are no chips in the jar or lid. There is some discoloration on the inside. The rubber seal has hardened some and is stiff. A beautiful piece for use or display.
