This is a great looking, old English humidor, with a rotating lock, with key, and a cigar cutter. It has super burl wood with heavy brass fittings. The box is 12 3/4″ long, 7 3/4″ wide and 7 1/2 tall, to the top of the lock. This is a very rare humidor, I couldn’t find one like it. Its in great condition, no damage and works great. Antique English Oak Cigar Humidor, Early 1900’s Registry Number, working key

Beautiful Edwardian era smoker’s box marked on top drawer with a Rd number for the year 1905. Rd numbers were used to designate a date of design and not necessarily the date of manufacture. This box has a very unique design as access to interior only gained by unlocking and pulling drawer open. Top of box is made of flat narrow oak slats the are in ner onnected to make a flat surface for the top. Slats are attached to one another by a tambour similar to the half round slat s found covering old roll top desks. Unable to find a humidor with this feature and probably rarer to find one that still operates. Mid size with measurements of 12 3/4″ width, 5 1/2″ tall, and 7 1/4 deep. Weight 4 lbs 8 ozs. Box decorated with beautiful metal corners, escutcheon cover and blank presentation shield. Hardware on top of box includes a small ashtray under carry handle, match striker and a cigar cutter. Brass shows through on metal ornaments as plating is mostly worn off. Wood case is structurally sound but signs of use, small nicks and rubbing. Hairline crack on right corner of molding, minor wear to other corners of molding. Working lock with key. Overall this case shows nicely and operates as intended. Antique BRAMAH ENGLISH CIGAR HUMIDOR WOOD & BRASS MOUNTS 19th Century

DESCRIPTION: 19th century Bramah English brass bound wood cigar humidor. SIZE: 12″L x 5 1/2″H x 9D. CONDITION: Overall good, has the original removable sponge holder in interior lid, interior vapor lip is complete, brass mounts complete, brass handles work fine, hinges fine, no key. Top has a horizontal split to wood does not affect humidor’s function as top has two boards the bottom board is fine, wear to varnish on top does not go into the wood (photos 10/11), short tight age hairlines to top, small veneer piece missing on bottom edge of front not apparent when upright (photo 12), no repairs. MARKINGS: Lock has impressed Crown, Bramah 104 Piccadilly. Note; camera lighting glare. This Edwardian english oak pipe rack and humidor is complete with 4 storage compartments and 2 cigar racks on the inside of the original glass bevelled doors. There is a central space at the top which originally would have contained a jar for tobacco either made from glass or wood which is missing. One of the doors on the front can be locked in place via a brass latch. This cabinet has both the option as a stand alone unit on a table or to be hung on a wall out of reach. A great addition to your Victorian home decor or tobacciana collection. This would look great as a bathroom unit or a great gift for Christmas or a birthday. MEASUREMENTS Tobacco cabinet measures 16 wide by 8 deep by 18 tall and weighs 13lbs 8oz. CONDITION This smoking cabinet is in good usable condition with signs of light use commensurate with age. Dating to around 1900 this antique oak humidor was used to store cigars or cigarettes on an after dinner table. Adorned with silverplate straps, corners and handles it has a blank cartouche on top which is ready for the next owners monogram. It is lined and divided internally with cedar to ensure moisture can be easily retained for its original purpose. This would suit any vintage kitchen, man cave or Victorian style property. A great housewarming or early holiday gift idea. MEASUREMENTS Humidor measures 4.2″ tall by 7.5″ deep by 21 wide and weighs 3lb 5oz.
