This ultra scarce 1910s “Pappoose” paper label rectangular humidor 25 cigar tin, measuring 53/8″ x 31/4″ x31/4, in very good condition with no dents, some very small superficial rust spots on the bottom exterior and interior lid and some minor age related paper discoloration. This extraordinary multicolored tin features superb detailed graphics of a smiling Native American baby in a papoose carrier which is propped up in the crotch of a tree. The cigars were manufactured by the Charles H. Simon Cigar Company, Davenport, IA. In Factory 22, First District, IA. This ultra scarce is a rare offering for the serious collector. Antique WALT WHITMAN Tobacco Jar with Paper Label still affixed and glass lid in excellent condition. The base of the glass jar is embossed Factory No. 64 – District of N. There are no chips, cracks or repairs on the jar but an ever so slight chip on the inner edge of the lid. Can not find a lot of information on this old humidor however, the outer right edge of the paper label has the letters CCC&O The height of the tobacco jar is 7 1/2″ and it has a base diameter of 5 1/4″ Should make an outstanding addition for someone’s collection of tobacciana.
