Huge Ornate Thompson 1915 Cherrywood Cigar Tobacco Humidor with Keys & Cutter
Acquired at an estate sale in the Hamptons on Long Island is this huge humidor. Includes a cigar cutter. No makers name on the humidor but it includes two Thompson Co 1915 hydrators. Other features: clear plastic curved view window (no damage), working lock with two keys, hygrometer, removable shelf and high gloss finish. No nicks, scratches, cracks, defects or damage. Whoever owned these either really took care of it or never used it. Overall 9 inches tall, 16 inches long and 11.75 inches wide. Inside 5.75 inches tall (with tray removed), 3 inches tall in the bottom half, 14 inches long and 9.25 inches wide. The removable shelf is 1.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches long and 8.5 inches wide. Made in China sticker on the bottom. All item(s) are offered in as found, as is & as seen condition and there are no guarantees or warranties expressed or implied. Dating to around 1900 this antique oak humidor was used to store cigars and cigarettes on an after dinner table. Adorned with brass straps and corners it has a center carrying handle for easy transport. This is a wonderful, vintage quality walnut humidor. It has some normal wear and tear for a humidor of its age, but is in overall excellent condition. It also features a brass nameplate which has not been engraved and which is embedded in the top of the lid. The interior of the humidor is cedar-lined and has what I believe are porcelain liners in the top and bottom. It also has a removeable metal humidifier which is marked’Aztec Clay Moistener Co. The exterior measures 4 1/4″ high by 11″ wide by 8 1/4 deep. The interior compartment measures 9 9/16″ wide by 6 3/4″ deep. There are no chips, cracks or repairs on the jar but an ever so slight chip on the inner edge of the lid. Can not find a lot of information on this old humidor however, the outer right edge of the paper label has the letters CCC&O The height of the tobacco jar is 7 1/2″ and it has a base diameter of 5 1/4″ Should make an outstanding addition for someone’s collection of tobacciana. Anzubieten habe ich hier ein must have für den passionierten Zigarrenliebhaber auf Reisen. Es handelt sich um ein im Fachhandel schon längst nicht mehr zu bekommendes Zigarrenetui aus der Produktion von: Porsche Design. Sehr passgenau wurden Carbonfasern in Form gebracht, abschließend wurde mehrschichtig Klarlack aufgebracht und hochglanzpoliert. Die Größe des Etuis ist passend für zwei Zigarren im klassischen Churchill-Format. Wenn das Ringmaß Ihrer Zigarre stimmt, können Sie selbstverständlich auch Ihre kürzeren Lieblinge wie z. Die Corona stets griffbereit und sicher vor Beschädigungen unterbringen. Die Maße lassen sich recht gut den Fotos entnehmen. Ich habe meine Rauchgewohnheit etwas geändert, ich bevorzuge seit einiger Zeit deutlich dickere Exemplare, daher benötige ich dieses Etui nicht länger. Das auf dem Foto abgebildete kleinere Etui ist bereits verkauft. Das Etui ist geruchsneutral, es riecht nicht nach abgebrannter Zigarre! Der Erhaltungszustand ist sehr gut, es gibt nur kleine Gebrauchsspuren. Grobe Beschädigungen, welche die Funktionalität beeinflussen könnten sind nicht vorhanden. This rare 1917 “Yocum Brothers” litho “oval” style 50 cigar hinged humidor display tin, measuring 5 1/2″ x 6″ x 4 1/2 is in very good condition with no dents or rust and some very minor age related paint scratches. The interior lid graphics are also in very good condition. The tin retains its beautiful luster finish. The cigars were manufactured by the Yocum Brothers Cigar Company in Factory 103, 1st District, PA. The bold, colorful “faux wood” tin features detailed. Rare tin litho over wood, country store advertising humidor for Buck Cigars. Lockable cover with hinged lid reveals tin interior with side vents. Outer skin made of tin with a faux wood finish& inner tin liner all over wood. Great graphics proclaiming “Buck Cigars” “King of the Range”, “Good To Keep Good Cigars Good”. Lock is intact but with no key. The spring in the lock that pops it away from the chest when unlocked still works. Handles are made of brass and can be left flat to the side or straight out to the side. The corners and edges of box trimmed in brass. The side vents both slide open& closed smoothly. DOZENS of close up pictures taken with& without a flash to try to capture all the details to this large detailed chest. Size: H 18″, W 27″, D 20.
