This is a 19th Century Victorian humidor made with beautiful Tiger Oak. The wood box measures 10″ x 6.5″ x 4 with decorative filigree metal corners and a metal lock escutcheon. The key is included. On both hinges is the July 1, 1890 patent date. There was a cigar emblem on the top of this box but it has been removed leaving evidence of where it once was as shown in the photo. The corners are intact with some wear from regular use but there is no damage. The locking mechanism is balky and may need adjustment. With a little wiggle it opens. This classic wood box is in very good shape.
