This is a substantial, well-constructed example featuring. Beautiful quartered tiger oak grain throughout. Decorative brass Art Nouveau style strap mounts on the lid. Original brass name plate. Zinc-lined interior with perforated humidifying panel in the lid. Original hinges and hardware The interior retains its original zinc lining – typical of turn-of-the-century humidors – designed to regulate moisture for cigar storage. The perforated panel inside the lid would have originally held the humidifying element. Measurements. 11.75″ Length. 7.25″ Width. 5.75 Height A wonderful desk, study, or bar piece with strong visual presence and authentic period character. Condition. Honest antique wear consistent with age. Surface finish wear and scattered marks as shown. Interior shows oxidation and age to zinc lining.
