This scarce 1920s paper label “Edwin’s” 25 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 3/8″, is in excellent condition with no rust or dents and some very minor paper chips and discoloration. The original wax paper liner remains in tact. There is also a paper label on the lid. This very attractive brown faux wood and black tin has detailed graphics. There is an extraordinary whimsical image of the Edwin Cigar Company Factory 327, 2nd District, NY with a huge “Lord Edwin cigar” poking out diagonally from behind the building. There is also a photograph of factory workers making the cigars by hand, as well as advertising for this tin of seconds/odd lots cigars. The Edwin Cigar Company manufactured 100,000 daily. This scarce 1910s “Osceola” litho humidor 25 cigar tin’s body is in very good condition with no rust, a couple of small dent and some minor age related paint scapes and chips. Much of the high gloss finish remains. The white tin lid is in good condition with some age related paint chipping around the edges. The tin measures 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ x 5. This highly attractive embossed multicolored tin features a detailed portrait of a smiling woman musician holding a tambourine up by her ear. The cigars were manufactured in Factory 9, 2nd District, VA. Osceola was born in 1804 and died in 1838. His birth name was Billy Powell. He became an influential leader of the Seminole people in Florida and was captured and imprisoned in 1837 during the Second Seminole War. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Tobacciana\Tins”. This scarce 1910s paper label “Square Deal” 25 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ x 3 3/8, is in excellent condition with no rust or dents, some minor age related paper discoloration and some small paint chips on the lid. This very attractive white tin with red lettering features two slogans for the “Square Deal” cigar brand, “Everyone wants a square deal” and “Insist on having a “Square Deal. For sale is this very nice and very well-preserved, late 19th century Ame ri can antique primitive, pressed amber glass with tin screw lid, wire handle and lathe-turned, black enamel painted wooden hand grasp, tobacco humidor, produced by the Globe Tobacco Co. Detroit, Michigan, circa 1882. It was recently discovered here in a southern New Hampshire estate along the Massachusetts border and is without any cracks or noticeable glass loss. The amber glass has naturally occurring stretch marks in its glass sidewalls, a sign of early, pre-20th century glass production. Its form is meant to resemble a staved wooden barrel cask for storing any number of things in. The screw-on tin lid is original to the glass body and is intact, without dings, dents, loss or deformities and only has some very slight, minimal signs of oxidation on its tin surfaces. The front glass sidewall of the humidor is clearly embossed with the raised typography’Globe Tobacco Company, Detroit, Michigan, Pat. In glorious, well-preserved overall antique condition.
