









This scarce 1940s “Cyrus the Great” cardboard humidor 50 cigar tin, measuring 5 3/4″ x 5 3/8″, in is excellent condition with no dents and some minor age related paper scrapes and discoloration. This highly attractive multicolored canister features a detailed portrait of Cyrus the Great (circa 600 BC – 529 BC), the founder of Achaemenid, the first Persian Empire. Cyrus was a considered to be a very tolerant and merciful ruler. The cigars were manufactured by the Ehrlich & Gertz, Chicago, IL, in Factory 1584, 1st District. This is an exceptional example of a WWII cardboard canister which rarely comes up for sale in this condition.
