Mercantile Air Tight Havana Cigars St. Louis Emb With Labels & 1895 Metal LID

Here’s a museum quality hand blown Mercantile Air Tight Havana Cigars jar over 110 years old with its original labels and Mercantile Cigar Co 1895 dated lid! MERCANTILE (AIR-TIGHT) HAVANA CIGARS ST. 11.94 JUNE 24-02 PATENTED NOV. 15 -95 (all boldly emb on front of jar)… 50 CIGARS (emb on bottom)…… Original tin lid is emb F. RICE MERCANTILE CIGAR CO. Original label on back of jar reads F. RICE MERCANTILE AIR TIGHT SIZE No. 2 (rider on horse 1890) F. Also has label on bottom: FACTORY NO. 305, 1ST DISTRICT OF MISSOURI, etc…… Hand blown in mold…. 5″tall x nearly 5″across lid….. Excellent shiny attic nice condition with no chips or damage. A sparkling clean jar with no haze. Lid is real nice. Both labels are pretty nice with only a couple small holes.. Antique 1883 LOG CABIN CIGAR BOX Havana Tobacco Schumacher & Ettlinger Humidor

Log Cabin Cigar Box. Schumacher & Ettlinger, 1883. This Rare cigar box is in the shape of a log cabin, by Schumacher & Ettlinger. Completely covered in’logs’, complete with pitched roof, the label is on the inside of the lid which is the roof of the cabin. On the label we see a western scene of a man sitting in front of a log cabin, complete with adog in his dog house. The date 1883 appears on the bottom right corner of the illustration. Before him stands the cigar salesman who has just got down from his horse. Size: 8.75 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, box is 4.25 inches tall, with lid it is 5.75 inches tall. Original condition, hinges and lid detached, missing two outer log pieces, label has age wear. Feel free to ask questions and be sure to see our many other unique Antiquarian Collectibles.

Here’s a scarce antique Blue Ribbon Havana Cigars glass cigar jar from St. Louis that is over 110 years old…. Complete with its original metal lid! … BLUE RIBBON HAVANA CIGARS GEO. LOUIS, MO all boldly emb on front in large fancy ceraph letters…. 73 1ST DISTRICT STATE OF MISSOURI 50 CIGARS all embossed on bottom… Early machine made jar…. Threaded wide mouth with original metal lid… Clear (but would turn amethyst as it glows brightly under blacklight)….. 5 1/4″tall x 5 3/8″across lid….. Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean jar with only some faint inside haze. This is a hard to find cigar jar from the 1890s or early 1900 period…….
