Old Majolica Pottery Cigar Form Tobacco Jar. The brown jar is decorated in relief with cigar shapes — including the lid which also has a cigar finial. The jar center is decorated with a red ribbon. There is a faint impressed mark on the base. SIZE: 4 1/2 inches high x 3 1/4 inches wide. CONDITION: Consistent with age, the jar has some wear — wear to the red ribbon color and some of the brown color — the lid has a repaired crack that is seen from the bottom — the bottom part of the cover edge has a nick — there is wear to the rim edge of the cover and some color losses to the top cigar tips — there is a loss to the surface of one cigar on the jar body near the ribbon — wear and color loss to the jar body — all due to age and use.
