This tobacco jar dates to about 1880 and commemorates the round house at Clifton being built in 1878. The jar is designed as a round tower which was known as a folly. The main body has 2 windows and a door and the lid round roof has a widows peak and 4 chimneys. Beautifully glazed over muted colors this finely made tobacco jar is simply marked with a label underneath which may be a shake number or inventory number from someones collection. Label underneath: #5521 This would be a great addition to any English pottery, humidor or figurative collection for a desk or a kitchen for herbs. A great addition to your antique home decor or the perfect housewarming gift idea. MEASUREMENTS Humidor measures 8.25″ tall by 5.5″ wide by 5.5 deep and weighs 3lb 3oz.
