This rare 1910s paper label “Lord Baltimore” 50 humidor cigar tin, measuring 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, is in very good condition with no dents, some minor superficial rust on the lid and some minor age related paper scrapes and discoloration. This very attractive white tin with gold and blue lettering features an image of Lord Baltimore, dressed in armor, riding a horse. Lord Baltimore founded the colony of Maryland when he left England to found a safe haven for English Catholics. His family was prominent in Maryland for generations as is reflected in the name of the capital city of Baltimore. The cigars were manufactured by F. Smiths & Sons, McSherrystown, PA in Factory 331, 1st District, PA.
