Constructed of what appears to be rosewood, with a warm, aged patina. Early dovetail joinery at the corners, indicating quality hand construction. The lid appears to be made from two joined pieces of wood, with a visible center seam/split where the boards meet – typical of early construction techniques. Interior features a removable cedar tray, perfect for cigars or accessories. A larger drawer below includes a flush-set brass pull tab. The thin wooden panel forming the base of the box is partially missing; this can be replaced if desired.
