This scarce 1910s paper label “Grower’s Bond” 25 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/8″ x 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4, is in good condition with no rust or dents and some age related paper scrapes, chips and discoloration. This attractive green and white tin’s detailed graphics which designed by Moehle Lithography Company, Brooklyn, NY. The label resembling a treasury bond with an eagle at the center. The cigars were manufactured in Factory 1344 9th District, PA. The Amish tobacco growers of the area were upset with claims that Connecticut tobacco grown in the shade was better than their Pennsylvania sun grown “Sterling Quality” tobacco.
