ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1930’s GARCIA GRANDE CIGAR CO. STORE DISPLAY UNIT WITH LIGHTER IN GREAT ORIGINAL CONDITION AS SHOWN. THIS IS A RARE CIGAR STORE COMBINATION DISPLAY WITH LIGHTER & 2 BOX CIGAR CAPACITY DISPLAY UNIT ADVERTISING FOR GARCIA GRANDE CIGARS. IT WAS MADE BY THE FAMOUS BRUNHOFF MFG. CINCINNATI, OHIO 1890 – 1954 AROUND THE 1920’s – 30’s AS IT DISPLAYED 5 cent CIGARS AND IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS ATTACHED AS SHOWN. IT HAS EXCELLENT COLORS AND GRAPHICS AND IT MEASURES APPROX 9 1/4” WIDE BY 8 1/4” TALL BY 9 1/4” DEEP. ITS IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH SOME MINOR ISSUES FROM AGE AND USE AS TO BE EXPECTED. IT DID NOT WORK WHEN I TRIED IT OUT (I THINK IT NEEDS A NEW COIL SPRING). THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE ADVERTISING UNIT THAT WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. This piece is estate fresh and is made almost entirely of brown leather. The humidor features a hinged top, Which when opened, drops down the front panel to expose a pipe display area. The display allows for 6 pipes to be stored. Behind the display is a white, glass lined humidor with a removable leather top. The humidor itself is 5.5 x 9 x3. Ideal for tobacco storage. This example is a rare version as it is in the deco style as evidenced by the handle, and upholstered in leather. All of the other humidors from dunhill of this era, that I have seen are made of wood. The top lid is embossed with a name George L. This piece is made by Alfred Dunhill of London. The unit is in great overall shape and complete. Some wear on the exterior corners and edges and discoloration leather, but fantastic overall shape! The humidor could be conditioned with leather conditioner if wanted, or left as is. I really like the great honey brown patina this has developed. Would be beautiful on any desk or in a study. This vintage 1930s “Canadian Club” square 50 humidor cigar tin, measuring 5 7/8″ x 4 1/2″ is in excellent condition with one very small superficial rust spot on interior bottom, two small creases and some minor age related paint chips. This very attractive light ochre tin was made by the Liberty Can Company, Lancaster, PA. It features detailed multicolored images of maple leaves in all their fall glory. The cigars were manufactured by the M. Cassidy Company in Factory 890, 1st District, PA.
