RB1125-2 GlobeTobacco Company Detroit and Windsor Pat Oct 10th 1882, ground lip, Barrelshaped jar, metal screw cap with carrying bail all original Quart Yellow Amber. Super nice condition with typical flaking around the ground lip. Lots of seedybubbles throughout and a couple of cool straw marks. Couple of small pin holesin lid as noted in the pictures. No chips, cracks, bruises orstain.

SCARCE LATE 19TH CENTURY GLOBE TOBACCO COMPANY, DETROIT, MICHIGAN, CIRCA 1882, AME RI CAN ANTIQUE TOBACCO HUMIDOR, with EMBOSSED AMBER GLASS BARREL BODY, ORIGINAL TIN SCREW LID & WIRE HANDLE with LATHE-TURNED WOOD HAND GRASP PAINTED in BLACK ENAMEL, DETROIT, MICHIGAN. Featuring GLASS PRODUCTION STRETCH. Late 19th century Ame ri can antique primitive glass & tin lid, decorative tobacco humidors for. Cigars & pipe tobacco. 7″ Height (handle down) x 9 1/2″ Height (handle up). X 4 5/8″ Width (Barrel) x 3 7/8″ Width (tin lid). For sale is this very nice and very well-preserved, late 19th century Ame ri can antique primitive, pressed amber glass with tin screw lid, wire handle and lathe-turned, black enamel painted wooden hand grasp, tobacco humidor, produced by the Globe Tobacco Co. Detroit, Michigan, circa 1882. It was recently discovered here in a southern New Hampshire estate along the Massachusetts border and is without any cracks or noticeable glass loss. The amber glass has naturally occurring stretch marks in its glass sidewalls, a sign of early, pre-20th century glass production. Its form is meant to resemble a staved wooden barrel cask for storing any number of things in. The screw-on tin lid is original to the glass body and is intact, without dings, dents, loss or deformities and only has some very slight, minimal signs of oxidation on its tin surfaces. The front glass sidewall of the humidor is clearly embossed with the raised typography’Globe Tobacco Company, Detroit, Michigan, Pat. In glorious, well-preserved overall antique condition. 4-VINTAGE 9 GLOBE TOBACCO CO DETROIT PAT 1882 AMBER BARREL GLASS BOTTLE JAR. These are original hand blown, ground lip Globe Tobacco Co glass barrel shape jar dated 1882 and with its original tin lid….. GLOBE TOBACCO COMPANY DETROIT PAT OCT. 10th 1882 emb on front of jar. Jars are in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks. Tin lids are rusty with some better than the others. See pics for condition. Pics number 10 and 11 show that one of them looks like there might some remnants of tobacco in there? Also, the difference in lighting is not an illusion. Some are lighter and it almost seems like they get darker. I thinks its very cool to see the difference in amber darkness. Im not an expert when it comes to these, so if you have questions please ask.
