Antique Art Nouveau Loetz Iridized Glass Humidor Jar and Lid. Attributed to Loetz with pattern dating circa 1899. Green glass highly iridized on the exterior only. Known as Papillon or Oil Spot. Bulbous look with reverse teardrop design. No cracks or hairline cracks. Two chips noted on rim as shown in photos with approximate measurement of chips. Chips do not show when lid is in place. Outside top of lid has 3 areas of what appears to be paint spatters as shown in photos. Inside lid carries faint smell of potpourri. Embossed design brass lid shows age worthy wear and patina. Lid has in place the interior holder for a moisture sponge. Height of jar with lid in place measures approximately 6.75.
